Single Subject

The most important qualifications for our teachers are:
Understanding of the mission and vision of Literacy First Charter Schools
1. Holding a Single Subject credential in the subject matter you are teaching. Additionally all teachers working with EL students will be required to have a CLAD credential or be actively enrolled to obtain the credential
2. Willingness to be trained in the school's educational program
3. Ability to work with a team as a collaborative partner
4. A demonstrable effectiveness in teaching
5. A willingness to work hard, to take responsibility, and to exercise leadership for the school as a whole
Multiple Subject Teacher K-8
The most important qualifications for our teachers are:

1. Holding a California Teaching Credential. Additionally all teachers working with EL students will be required to have a CLAD credential or be actively enrolled to obtain the credential
2. Willingness to be trained in the school’s educational program

5. A willingness to work hard, to take responsibility, and to exercise leadership for the school as a whole
Substitute Teacher
Must Hold a BA + 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Have a friendly personality that loves children. Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans. Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. Maintains a safe and orderly environment. Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned. Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students. Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by site principal. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintains reasonable rules of conduct that encourage self-discipline and responsibility. Communicates effectively with parents when needed. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated. Completes other duties as assigned.
Substitute Pay will be $200.00 a day.
